Allenwood Tidy Towns has been working with Kildare County Council in recent months, to act on the disgraceful dumping of household rubbish at the derelict house across from Cushalla. The owner of the site has been contacted by the council with regard to their responsibilities to the site. Some of the rubbish had labels with names, addresses and phone numbers which was passed on to the Litter Warden to be pursued further.
Today the Litter Warden and Kildare County Council, together with some of our members, removed the rubbish from the site. Hopefully the dumping will cease now, but we ask the local community to help us monitor the location. It is in a busy, built up area so it should be easy to spot suspicious activity, even late at night.
