Our first ever Goal Mile in Allenwood was a great success on the morning of Stephen’s Day. We were very lucky to avoid any showers and had over 300 participants, with great representation from Allenwood, Ballyteague and surrounding areas.
Well done to Celine Cronly, who organised the entire event at very short notice. Celine lined up great support from local celebrities and over 30 people volunteered to help out on the day to ensure it ran smoothly.
With over €3,200 raised for charity, hopefully it will now become an annual community event for the holiday period that continues to raise funds for a good cause.
