Most of us in North West Kildare are lucky enough to live close to the Grand Canal. It is a free amenity that is already being used by many locals every day, and now it is being promoted as a tourist attraction to a wider audience.
You don’t need to wait for the completion of the Grand Canal Greenway to start enjoying the canal. Most of it is already walkable, and plenty of it can be cycled too. Why not make the most of the current situation by exploring the canal close to where you live?
