I received confirmation today that the R414 from Allenwood South to Lullymore is to be repaired later this year at an estimated cost of €206,250.
I raised the issue of the condition of this road in the council chamber last November. In normal times, the road would be busy right now with coaches going to and from Lullymore Heritage & Discovery Park.
With a lovely view across the Bog of Allen, this road is a designated scenic route by Kildare County Council. When it’s repaired, drivers will be able to enjoy the views again, instead of worrying about the bumps.
