There are two things wrong with this photo taken at the 20th Lock on the Grand Canal in Ballyteague this evening. Firstly, people shouldn’t be gathering at the lock to swim during the COVID-19 restrictions, and secondly, they shouldn’t be leaving litter behind them either.
The area will be watched more closely now as a result of this mess. My thanks to local residents for cleaning up after these people and leaving bags out and around the area.
