I am pleased to see that the Parks Section of Kildare County Council hope to advertise the revised Part 8 Planning Application for Allenwood Playground by the end of October 2020.
There has been an understandable delay after having to relocate the playground following issues with the original site. A process of consultation took place with groups and businesses in the area before a redesign of the playground to suit the new location was done.
I was informed in May that this redesign is complete and now the documents for the Part 8 Planning Application need to be compiled. I was given the October timeline in today’s Municipal District meeting.
It would be a great boost for the community to see the process begin again and hopefully allow us to move the project on to the next stage.
