I was very sad to hear about the death of John Larkin of Coill Dubh this week. John was passionate about his community and he knew the importance of recording local history.
Indeed we had a good long chat about the history of the village last year when I was out canvassing for the local election.Last year we met again when he launched a reprint of the Coill Dubh book. Here are John’s memories of Coill Dubh taken from that book.
