It was confirmed to me last Friday that the residential road from Lowtown Marina to Littletown Bridge, forming the initial 1 km stretch of the Barrow Blueway, will be upgraded as part of the overall project.
I raised the issue at our most recent council meeting, having had several queries from local residents and Blueway users alike. Whilst current restrictions have slowed down the project, I will continue to keep people up to date on the progress of the various sections.
