I was very saddened to hear about the passing of Austin Currie today. Many of us in Allenwood, and especially Derrymullen, were so proud to have a man of his stature living peacefully in our community at the end of a busy life in politics.
Austin wrote about living in our area in his autobiography and he spoke very highly of his neighbours in Derrymullen. I know they will miss him dearly.
My deepest sympathies to Annita, Emer and all of Austin’s family and friends at this very sad time.
