The largest St. Brigid’s Cross in Kildare is The Kildare Maze in Prosperous. The maze was designed using the shape of the cross that symbolises our county’s patron saint.
I should know, because I created the original layout for the maze as a teenager. In 2024, when we celebrate the life of St. Brigid with the Brigid 1500 festival, it would be nice to see the maze and its cross play a part.
