I have been pushing for road safety improvements at St. Conleth’s NS in Derrinturn for a number of years now, and I explicitly asked for a pedestrian crossing to be installed at the church as part of a village health check that was completed recently.
At a recent meeting we approved the go ahead for a new road layout at the school including ramps and a new pedestrian crossing. There will also be a new pedestrian crossing at the church, which will be a huge benefit to the village. This project will be funded by the NTA.
