My company has a great scheme where they allow us to take some time off to volunteer with charities and other groups, to assist their efforts.
Last year I used most of my volunteer time to help the Irish Peatland Conservation Council in Lullymore with their work on bog conservation. It’s great to get out on the bog and I learned a lot about the bogs from Paula, who showed us what to do.
