Thanks to Eddie of Kildare Sports Partnership for installing a replacement lifebuoy ring at Ticknevin Lock today. A bill currently going through the Oireachtas will see fines of up to €50,000 and jail terms of up to 5 years for the removal of life-saving equipment.
Hopefully it can get through soon and we can start to see people getting severely punished for damaging or removing equipment that is there to save lives.
