The Grand Canal Greenway has been one of my main projects for the last few years and I am delighted to see that €500,000 has been allocated towards the planning and development of this amenity by Transport Infrastructure Ireland today.
The Greenway will link up lots of communities in West Kildare with a proper walking and cycling track, similar to what we have from Ballyteague today on the Barrow Blueway. If elected next June, the Grand Canal Greenway will become my top priority project to see completed for our area, with proper links to the villages near it.
