Well done to the Public Realm team in Kildare County Council on receiving a grant of €100,000 towards the project to improve the entrances on the three main approach roads to Prosperous.
These entrances should help improve the identity of Prosperous and, at the same time, introduce traffic calming on the approach roads to the village from Allenwood, Clane and Maynooth.
This Government funding was part of €15,000,000 awarded to 156 rural towns and villages through the Town & Village Renewal Scheme 2019. The Public Realm team coordinated a health check of Prosperous last year which identified a number of potential projects to improve the village, of which this was one.
