A contract has been awarded for resurfacing works on Killina Bank and Nursery Road, Allenwood South. It is planned to start these repairs in the next 2 or 3 weeks, subject to contractor availability.
The works on the canal bank will include the very bad section from the Lifting Bridge towards Allenwood. These areas were shown to the Area Engineer last year by myself, Cllr. Brendan Weld and Cllr. Daragh Fitzpatrick, and there has been a strong team effort to get them done.
The estimated cost of the works was €126,000.
