Minister Martin Heydon has informed me that Kildare County Council have been awarded €25,000 towards the building of a Cycle Cafe at Lowtown.
It makes perfect sense to build up the facilities at Lowtown, as it is the starting point for the Barrow Blueway, and also a stopping point on the Grand Canal Greenway. It’s great to see this investment into the canals by the government and we should see more of it in the next few years.
