Very exciting to see that work has started on the Barrow Blueway between the 20th and 21st locks on the Grand Canal in Ballyteague today. This trail starts at Lowtown and goes all the way to Athy.
I am liaising regularly with the Waterways Ireland engineer who is overseeing the project and I wish him and the team all the best for the work ahead.
