Over 7 pieces of evidence were found identifying a family in Laois after their personal documents and household waste were thrown around Blake’s Bog, Allenwood. The criminal cut through a metal barrier to gain access to the private lane which runs just behind the playing pitches of Allenwood GFC.
Our Community Warden visited the site today and has taken away the evidence. The family involved, or the ‘man with a van’ that they paid €200 to take away their rubbish, should end up before a judge in the next few months.
Allenwood Tidy Towns are going to work with the council to see if a camera can be installed in the location to prevent further desecration in this peatland area.
