I reported the flooding at Coill Dubh National School last September, and myself and Cllr. Brendan Weld followed up with a meeting with Principal Leacy and the Area Engineer on site.
The back lane was resurfaced this week at a cost of €30,000 and new gullies have also been installed. The entrance to the school will be much safer for pupils and parents now, for a good few years to come.
On behalf of Cllr. Weld and myself, thanks to the Area Engineer and his staff for their rapid attention to this critical project. We will monitor the area to see what additional work is required to reduce the flooding.
