The draft turbine layout for the Ballydermot Wind Farm has been published on https://www.ballydermotwindfarm.ie/.
Bord na Móna is proposing to install 50 turbines with a blade tip height of 220 metres, applying a minimum setback distance of 880 metres. They intend to apply to An Bord Pleanála for planning permission next year.
A second round of public consultation will be taking place in July and August. As a resident within the development area, I have already contacted Bord na Móna to arrange a meeting to discuss their proposal at this draft stage. I would encourage other residents to do the same.
