Kildare County Council are currently carrying out a review of the speed limits in the entire county. A draft copy of the proposed changes is now open for public consultation.
It is intended to increase the speed limit in many rural areas and I raised concerns about this in January, some of which have been addressed in the draft. You can read my submission at https://brendanwyse.ie/speed-limit-submission-january-2021/
I would recommend that people have a look at the document relating to the Clane Maynooth Municipal District, paying particular attention to areas where you would walk or cycle, and make your own submission at https://consult.kildarecoco.ie/…/kildare-county-speed… before 16th September.
