I have had a number of residents and businesses at Allenwood Cross asking about the potential for a better broadband service in the village, which is currently being provided by Eir.
Although Fibre to the Home (FTTH) is available in some of the surrounding rural areas, it is not yet available at Allenwood Cross. Eir have informed me that the area is included in their Fibre network programme, but have not yet committed to a timeline for the work.
I will ask for a further update next year and keep people informed.
