I have been leading the Allenwood Playground project for a couple of years now. Today, a significant milestone was announced. Kildare County Council announced that the Part 8 planning process for Allenwood Community Playground has commenced. Allenwood Tidy Towns have been working with the council and a group of interested members of the community to drive the playground forward ever since the original project stalled several years ago.
At this particular time, people are able to inform themselves about the planned playground and provide feedback directly to Kildare County Council with their thoughts on the plans. As stated in the Part 8 notice, the plans will be available for viewing in Texaco Spar Allenwood until Friday, 22nd February and the final date for submissions is Friday, March 8th.
It’s important that we get the design for the playground right from the start. Please take the time to have a look at the plans and have your say.
