Very positive news came in regarding Allenwood Playground yesterday. I received notice that Allenwood Tidy Towns have been awarded €51,385 from the Drehid Community Grants Scheme to help build the playground.
Whilst we will need additional funding to be provided by Kildare County Council, this grant will go a long way towards getting our playground started. We look forward to seeing a Part 8 approved so that we can start turning the sod on the project in the year or so.
