Six new driver feedback signs installed in Allenwood, Derrinturn and Coill Dubh marks my first project delivered in 2024. These signs are a good step towards making our villages safer by alerting drivers to reduce their speed on the approach roads. Thanks to our council roads team for all their work on this. Paid for…

Bord na Móna submitted a planning application to expand the Drehid Landfill facility earlier this year and it was possible for community groups and individuals to make submissions, following a public meeting in Carbury GAA. I made a 14 page submission outlining a number of key recommendations for Allenwood, Killina, Derrinturn and Dag Weld’s Cross,…
Well done to George, Sylvia and all the team in Ashgrove, Derrinturn, on their great success in the Price in Your Place awards this year. Long time committee member, Patricia Gill, sadly passed away since and her good work volunteering for Ashgrove won’t be forgotten. I had the special honour of presenting the Youth Participation…
Very happy to announce that I have been selected as candidate by Fine Gael for the Local Elections next June, alongside my fellow candidate, William Durkan. We are both looking forward to working together for West Kildare in the coming months. Thanks to Damien English TD for chairing the meeting.

The design phase is now underway and I…
Well done to the Oakwood Park Residents Association on all the good work done this year in preparation for the Price in your Place competition. The children of the estate helped out with the work and they celebrated with a fun day and BBQ recently. Your estate is looking very well. Keep up the great…

The old location was dangerous and inaccessible, and was never the proper place for…
I was out with George from Ashgrove Residents Association at lunch time to see the new notice board that has been put up on the way into the estate. It looks really well and will keep everyone informed of the events that are being held. The community cabin has been upgraded too and is like…

It has taken some time to get it up to the necessary standard but this work been supported by all councillors throughout. Well done to the residents who got organised and made the request to…
The footpaths in Ashgrove, Derrinturn, were repaired last week and the estate is looking very well thanks to George, Sylvia and all the residents association. This project was funded using Local Property Tax, as are many of the footpath projects that the council complete each year in our area.
