Kerbs removed during Road Works

The contractors working on behalf of Irish Water have finished the Derrymullen Road out of Allenwood, but when I was litter picking one morning in June, I noticed that they had removed some kerbs and didn’t replace them.

I reported the missing kerbs to the roads department of Kildare County Council and they have told me, just today, that they will be replacing them.

The kerbs are right at the entrance to Cushalla and unfortunately it looks like they will be missing for most of the Tidy Towns judging period, which runs from the beginning of June until the end of August. If they affect our score it will be very disappointing as the kerbs should never have been removed in the first place.
