Local Election Nomination

I am proud to have been selected as a candidate in the Local Elections next May for the Clane Local Electoral Area. The selection convention was held in the Westgrove Hotel, Clane, last night. I was nominated by the new West Kildare branch that we formed in September this year, which I wrote about in https://brendanwyse.ie/2018/09/12/west-kildare-fine-gael/.

I am looking forward to working hard to extend the type of work I have been doing in the Allenwood area to the rest of the villages and town lands in the Clane LEA.

In particular, I am going to be looking to assist with starting playground projects in North West Kildare as I mentioned in https://brendanwyse.ie/2018/10/29/playgrounds-in-north-west-kildare-2018/. I am also starting  to gather feedback from residents living close to the Grand Canal, in order to put together a submission for Kildare County Council in relation to the Greenway project, as I wrote about in https://brendanwyse.ie/2018/12/08/grand-canal-greenway/.

Also on my team for the Clane area are sitting Councillor Brendan Weld and Seamus Langan. I look forward to working closely with both of them over the next few months.
