CCTV for Ballyteague Fly-tipping Black-spot

A local man brought to my attention a large amount of fly-tipping in the bog between Allenwood South and Ballyteague North. Disappointingly, it took place very close to the target area for our recent community cleanup event.

I met the Community Warden from Kildare County Council out at the location today, and the warden has already put plans in motion to remove the latest pile of rubbish.

The warden also advised us that covert CCTV is going to be used in the area and provided us with signage to put up on the approach roads to the back road. A local landowner has kindly agreed to have the signs mounted in the next few days.

It’s important to stay positive in the fight against fly tipping. Those of us that care for our countryside far outnumber those with no regard for it.
