Allenwood Playground is back on track again with the opening of the new Part 8 consultation period today. The playground site is kindly being provided by ACDAL Allenwood for use by the entire community.
As secretary of Allenwood Tidy Towns, we led the process to find a suitable site, and last year secured a Drehid Community Grant of €51,385 to kick off the council led project. I will be making a submission on behalf of the Tidy Towns emphasising the importance of ensuring our playground will be accessible to all children.
