Resurfacing from Killina NS to Hamilton Bridge

More focus on making the journey to school safer for the children of Killina and Ballybrack, with repairs to the road from Hamilton Bridge. Last year I requested LPT funding for the new speed feedback signs on the approach roads to the school. Each year, our brilliant council team on the ground keep the hedgerows tightly cut, to make it safer for walking and cycling.

A design is being drawn up for a new traffic calming layout at the school entrance, along with Derrinturn and Robertstown schools. We should see that design in a public consultation phase soon.

May be an image of text that says '16. Question- Councillor Brendan Wyse Can the council provide an update on the development of the Public Realm Improvement Plans for Robertstown, Killina and Derrinturn National Schools? Report: The detailed designs are progressing with a final proposal expected from the consultants in the coming weeks. Once final design is received the Municipal District will be progressing it through public consultation as soon as possible. Issued by: All of the above reports except item 15 were issued by Ms P Pender A/Senior Executive Officer, Roads, Transportation and Public Safety Department..'

I am continuing to do everything I can to make it safer for children to get to and from school, by whatever means they like.
